Past Service Learning Trips

The Huangshan Service Learning Trip is a three-year initiative supported by Huangshanqu Education Bureau (黃山區教育局) and sponsored by a private donation. Since the initiative started in 2011, the goal was to build a long-term relationship with the rural communities in Huangshan, Anhui Province, China as our volunteers taught primary school children in the area. During the trip, HKUST students also visited local families and the community nearby to gain a deeper understanding of the life and challenges in rural China.
