Nepal Service Learning Trip

Collaborating with Light On Nepal, we are involved in the rebuilding project for Shree Ganga Milan Secondary School, which suffered serious damage from the two powerful earthquakes that struck Nepal within a month in 2015. Helping with reconstruction is a stepping stone for us to get into the communities as well as to enlighten local students by sharing our culture and knowledge with them. This trip is ultimately a self-enriching journey that provides participants the opportunity to live and eat like a local Nepali, to engage in self-reflection, and to learn to appreciate life in a different light.

Participants of the trip will be able to:

• Empower Nepalese children and youth to enrich themselves by providing them a safe learning environment
• Embrace cultural diversity and achieve cultural exchange by examining different aspects of the Nepalese community
• Live and eat like a Nepali and learn to embrace nature
