ACE teaching about sensory organs

Four students from Connect Ambassador for Community Engagement (Connect ACE) organized two sessions for youths from The Friends of Scouting Jockey Club Kai Yip Service Centre for Children & Youth. The ACE students, having researched mental health issues in Hong Kong, aimed to assist youths in discovering relaxation methods to cope with stress.

In the first session, the students, alongside other volunteers, led a workshop where youths created aroma stones. Through interactive games, participants learned about sensory organs, scents, and their emotional effects. By exploring various fragrances, attendees experienced firsthand how scents could impact emotions, helping them identify personalized relaxation techniques.

During the second session, ACE and their volunteer team hosted four small sessions for families with children. Using aroma stones, they guided families in detecting changes in textures and temperatures during the creation process. This activity encouraged families to focus on the present moment and provided them with tools to effectively manage stress in the future.
