Connect Ambassador for Community Engagement (Connect ACE)

Connect ACE is a development program that fosters peer-to-peer advocacy and community engagement. It brings together civic-minded students to address genuine community needs through people-oriented service initiatives. 

You will be able to 

• Develop essential skills such as project management, stakeholder engagement and community outreach through designing and implementing a service project in a team
• Collaborate with like-minded peers and practice your teamwork skills
• Inspire and mobilize fellow HKUSTers to contribute to positive change in the community
• Enrich your CV by demonstrating your engagement in social good initiatives

As an Ambassador, you will have the unique opportunity to team up with other participants to partner with a non-governmental organization (NGO) serving a cause you are passionate about, with project funding up to HK$5,000. You will collaborate directly with the NGO and mobilize your fellow schoolmates to contribute to the community. The program equips you with essential skills like activity design and facilitation.

Moreover, you will work closely with HKUST Connect to advocate for a service culture on campus. By joining Connect ACE, you will gain the platform and support to turn your ideas into tangible, far-reaching changes in the local community. Satisfactory completion of the program makes you eligible for the HKUST Connect Service Leaders Network and apply for the Social Good Leader Award.
