Cambodia Service Learning Trip (18)

Cambodia is a developing and charming country recovered from a tragic past. The level of education in Cambodia has been improving, yet there is still an educational gap when compared with other developed countries, especially in the areas of technology and science. Will you join us to give them a helping hand?
This winter marks the 18th service learning trip to Cambodia since 2011. The project aims to continue our support to the children and youth at Cambodian Children’s Fund, Wat Opot Children's Community and a local primary school. The team will organize educational activities and interactive STEM workshops to narrow the educational gap in developing country and help their youth to develop their potential. You will also meet with the former Who Will village children who are now at University in Phnom Penh and exchange cultural experience.
Participants of the trip will be able to:
- Empower Cambodian children and youth, both being looked after by NGOs or not, to develop their potential through educational workshops
- Embrace cultural diversities and achieve cultural exchange through investigating different aspects of the Cambodian community
- Spread a caring message in HKUST campus through sharing their experience during and after the service trip.
