Connect Overseas Learning Experience Sponsorship Scheme
Description
Students participating in service learning trips can learn about a place, its culture and its people through hands-on, community-based service projects. Connect Overseas Learning Experience Sponsorship Scheme (OLESS) aims to support students to participate in learning trips organized / co-ordinated by HKUST Connect. Successful candidates will receive a subsidy covering part of the program fee through generous donations from:
- Paul & Eileen Lin Grant (林達光先生夫人資助金) for programs in mainland China
We are inviting students who are passionate about community engagement to apply for this grant. Additional consideration will be given to those with financial need.

Eligibility
- All undergraduate students. Students who have financial need or have successfully applied for Government Grant or Loan or University Financial Assistance will be given additional consideration. Students who do not receive any financial assistance will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Applicants have to go through the normal selection process of the overseas service learning trips, and be selected, to be eligible for the grant. (Please make separate application to the service learning trips that you want to participate.)
