HKUST Global Days of Changemaking 2020
Everyone can be a changemaker!
The HKUST Global Days of Changemaking (rebranded from HKUST Service Learning Day) with the aim to mobilize all HKUST members to take action and solve social problems in their communities to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students, faculty, staff and alumni in Hong Kong or those currently living overseas can engage in various changemaking efforts coordinated by HKUST Connect to contribute to initiatives that improve their communities.
Changemaking actions may include:
- Direct service
- Service learning
- Civic engagement
- Social innovation
- Social entrepreneurship
- Social justice
- Philanthropy
- Action to achieve SDGs
Together, we can be part of the solution in achieving the SDGs by 2030.

Mapathon
Collaborate to map areas literally 'missing' from any map so humanitarian organisations can try to meet the needs of vulnerable people.
Adopt a Tree
Join our effort to plant an HKUST Forest with 1000 trees in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest with smallholder farmers to restore deforested and degraded land to tackle climate change.
Direct Service Opportunities
Participate in direct services to address social issues such as hunger, health, and climate change, etc.
