Asia-US Service-Learning Program @ Stanford is a four-week intensive program that brings together community-minded students from Asia (Japan, Taiwan, and Mainland China) and from Stanford University to learn about some of America and the world’s most pressing issues.

In AUSL 2010, our students focused on the issues of health and disability as well as environment and sustainability. They learned by joining in hands-on service projects, daily discussions and reflections with other students, and meetings with professors and experts in the field. Students also researched issues and shared different approaches used in their home countries to address them with fellow participants. Finally, they worked together to design a project addressing issues in their community.
