The staff of HKUST Connect is available to assist faculty and staff in all stages of a service learning course or community-based learning program or project. We will gladly meet with individual faculty and staff, or with groups from Departments and Schools. We can help with identifying community partners, course and program design, program logistics, training and orientation of students, facilitation of reflection, and assessment. The Research University Engaged Scholarship Toolkit (Campus Compact)
This toolkit provides definitions, resources and readings related to engaged scholarship in research universities. It includes a list of journals that publish engaged scholarship.

Scholarship on Community Engagement

HKUST Connect will include links to peer-reviewed journals that publish scholarship on community engagement or community-based research in specific disciplines. We welcome faculty members’ suggestions for additions to this section. The following are journals devoted to public engagement scholarship across the disciplines.

Michigan Journal of Service Learning 
This American peer-reviewed journal consists of articles written by faculty and service learning educators on research, theory, pedagogy, and issues pertinent to the service learning community.
