Talk: Connecting You to the Community

Some students may have the impression that they need to do well in school in order to get a good job and succeed in our society. However, grades do not equal learning. Students can explore different learning opportunities outside the classroom to foster their own personal development. Service opens another door for them to deal with real-life issues, gain exposure, and experience growth.

In the talk, students were introduced the various ways they can connect to the community by participating in community services. At the same time, they also learned more about the service opportunities offered by HKUST Connect and Uni-Y(HKUST) alongside with the code of practice for volunteers.
