Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation (無止橋慈善基金) is a Hong Kong registered charity established in 2007. Their mission is to build footbridges in remote villages in rural China with the help of Hong Kong and Mainland university students, through inter-university initiatives. Prof Edward Ng, Chairman of Wu Zhi Qiao Charitable Foundation, had came to HKUST shared with us about the Foundation on 4 October 2012.

The Foundation organized their 2nd charity walk at Tai Tam Waterworks Heritage Trail on Sunday, 25 November 2012, to unite the efforts of tertiary institutions and students in Hong Kong. Donations raised through this event (after deducting expenses) will be used for supporting the operation and development of Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation.

With the support of more than 65 HKUST staff, students, alumni and family members, HKUST won the title of second runner-up for the Wu Zhi Xing Fundraising Award in Tertiary Institutions Category and raised more than HK$9,000 in donations.
