Food Share We Care @ Ever Green Association 愛共饗

Over 3,200 tonnes of food waste are disposed of in landfills every day, accounting for a third of all municipal solid waste in Hong Kong. The local green group Ever Green Association has been working on the food waste problem since 2013 and launched a campaign called "Food Share We Care" (「愛‧共饗」) to increase Hong Kong citizens' awareness on food waste. HKUST volunteers collected unsold fresh vegetables in wet market, then sorted and distributed them to the people in need.
