Food Share We Care Soup 愛心湯暖社區

Food waste contributes 36% of the total municipal solid waste in Hong Kong. The disposed 3,300 ton of biodegradable food waste is taking up the limited landfill area, which is not sustainable solution. Ever Green Association addresses this social problem by collecting unsold food and turn them into traditional Chinese soup which will be distributed to the elderly in the Hung Hom community. Volunteers contributed by washing the soup jars and distributing soup to the vulnerable and needy.
