Joining Dog Walkers 與毛孩漫步

HKUST volunteers visited the Sai Kung Stray Friends dog shelter to learn about its mission and the challenges faced by animal welfare organisations in Hong Kong. During the visit, they toured the kennels and learned about the different life stories of the rescued dogs. The volunteers supported the shelter's daily operations by cleaning kennels, preparing food, and testing a new data entry system. One of the most meaningful parts of the visit was taking the dogs out for a walk, providing them with much-needed exercise, socialisation, and companionship. The volunteers gained a deeper understanding and awareness of the dedication required to run a shelter, inspiring them to promote adoption and the power of community-driven care.
