Transforming Lives and Creating the Leaders of Tomorrow in Cambodia

The talk featured Mr. Adam Thacker, Development Director of the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF), who shared the inspiring journey of his organization's efforts to break the cycle of poverty in Cambodia since 2004. The session highlighted CCF’s impactful work — from the slums of Phnom Penh to classrooms filled with hope — showing how education and healthcare empower families to build brighter futures.

Mr. Thacker discussed the multifaceted approach required for sustainable community development, shedding light on the daily realities and systemic challenges faced by Cambodian families. Through his compelling narrative, he demonstrated how NGO efforts can drive meaningful social change and shape a more hopeful world, one child at a time.

The thought-provoking event not only deepened participants' understanding of international development but also inspired them to reflect on their roles as global citizens. Students left the session with a renewed drive to advocate for marginalized communities worldwide.
