"Equal Tour 180" Wheelchair Experience in Community 「平等號180」輪椅社區體驗

Partnering with the Hong Kong PHAB Association, 11 HKUST students participated in the "Equal Tour 180" to discover firsthand the everyday challenges faced by persons with disabilities. Under the guidance of professional guides, our students navigated public spaces in wheelchairs to complete routine community tasks.

By experiencing the city's streets and facilities from this unique physical perspective, the participants gained invaluable insights into both the critical need for barrier-free environments and the often-invisible dynamics of caregiving. Empowered by this experience, our students returned with a drive to advocate for an inclusive, physically handicapped and able-bodied (PHAB) integrated society.
