Food Recycling Action @Wet Market 糧善 - 剩食回收行動

In Hong Kong, large amounts of food are discarded daily, increasing pressure on landfills and harming the environment. To help address this issue, ten HKUST students visited wet markets in Tsuen Wan to collect surplus produce and deliver it to people in need.

Volunteers sorted the edible food that would otherwise be wasted and distributed it to households facing hardships. Their efforts reduced waste, supported the community, and deepened the students’ awareness of sustainability and social care.
