Chung King Mansion Tour 重慶大廈導賞團
Fifteen HKUST students joined a learning tour to Chungking Mansions, one of Hong Kong’s most dynamic crossroads of culture and commerce. The visit offered a close look at the thriving marketplace, which has become a hub for international trade and entrepreneurship.
Beyond the bustling trade, students gained a deeper understanding of Chungking Mansions as a welcoming space for immigrants and asylum seekers. Through personal stories, they learned about the challenges these communities face and the resilience that defines their journeys.
The tour also highlighted the essential support networks available, including legal assistance, language learning, job training, and community services. For participants, the experience was both eye-opening and inspiring, deepening their understanding of social inclusion and the power of compassion in shaping new beginnings.
