This project was initiated and organized by a group of student leaders from the Connect Ambassadors of Community Engagement (Connect ACE) Program to promote social inclusion for ethnic minorities (EM) in Hong Kong.

Volunteers took part in mingling sessions and team-building exercises with EM children, and later they joined hands in two community services to enhance EM children's sense of belonging in Hong Kong. Children were excited when they went on a hiking trail cleaning in Lei Yu Mun with our volunteers. On another weekend, they prepared handmade phone straps and organized activities for elderly members at a local elderly center. Such cross-cultural and cross-generational exchange was greatly inspiring for all participants. Our volunteers reported a deep sense of fulfillment from their contributions and gained a better understanding of the challenges faced by the EM community in Hong Kong. They also practiced valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and empathy, creating unforgettable moments of joy and reinforcing the importance of social inclusivity.
