HKUST Changemaker: skills and mindsets
By fostering the belief that everyone can be a changemaker, students were inspired to develop their changemaking skills and take initiative through the workshop.
Instructors emphasized important qualities for changemakers, such as having a growth mindset, trusting oneself, and showing humility. They shared inspiring stories of young changemakers to motivate students to enhance their abilities. Students were then divided into groups to apply what they had learned to simulation scenarios.
By the end of the workshop, positive responses were evident in the students' feedback. They expressed increased confidence in sharing their thoughts and a greater willingness to engage in changemaking. Additionally, students were encouraged to take further steps to make a positive impact in their community.
