Volunteers playing warm up games with the children

Many of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong only socialize with the members of the same race so the social circle between locals and the ethnic minorities rarely overlaps. Through interactive games and cultural exchange, volunteers empowered the minority children and youth and let them understood the importance of appreciating themselves and valuing their true selves.

Description

I learnt that everyone is unique and has their own strength and weaknesses. It is a great experience to play with the EM children. They are energetic and they gave me a lot of fun. I enjoyed playing and chatting with them!

I believe what I have learnt from the program is not something explicit, but some attitude or feeling. You just feel happy when you have fun with the children, and you will simply love them, it is not about the differences but the commonalities among us. We all like to play, to have chocolate, etc.
