HKUST x OUHK Joint University Service 科大公大聯校服務

Newly arrived children in Hong Kong usually face a lot of problems, and communication is one of them. Most of the children cannot pronounce Cantonese correctly and thus are limited in communicating with people. Consequently, they may feel lonely and have difficulty in adapting to the new environment. “HKUST x OUHK Joint University Service” was initiated by both HKUST Connect and the Student Affairs Office of the OUHK. Our volunteers provided support services for newly-arrived children through interactive gaming and exploring the fascination of Hong Kong city together. The children could get in touch with the local culture and were encouraged to communicate with local people and foreigners.
