The Next Changemaker (Fall 2022)

The Next Changemaker is a development program focused on peer-to-peer advocacy and community engagement. It brings together civic-minded students to initiate small-scale service projects that address community needs with a people-oriented approach.

Student volunteers partnered with non-governmental organizations to serve target groups they cared about. For example, some volunteers organized a campus tour at HKUST for the elderly, and facilitated games for them to engage with others.

Through this program, volunteers had the opportunity to interact with various community groups, expanding their understanding of social issues. They also developed teamwork skills by collaborating with new friends who shared the common goal of serving those in need.
