The occurrences of disasters worldwide has a detrimental impact on millions of people each year, resulting in widespread destruction and loss of life. However, many of the locations affected by these disasters are not accurately represented on digital maps in a timely manner.

To address this gap, 21 volunteers provided support to Missing Maps by updating the map. The volunteers compared satellite images and added buildings to a shared online map. The updated map was then made available for organizations worldwide, enabling them to effectively respond to crises in these areas by promptly reaching individuals in need of medical support and providing timely assistance.
