Volunteers will visit Sham Shui Po needy groups from door to door, including the socially withdrawn and the elderly living on their own. Through this visit, volunteers will introduce community and support services available to the less privileged and most importantly, show their care and support for those in need.
根據政府統計，全港約有22.6萬人居於劏房，人均居住面積中位數僅得71平方呎，居住空間不足，支援網絡薄弱。救世軍深水埗家庭支援網絡隊將以逐家逐戶形式(俗稱「洗樓」)主動接觸深水埗區內有需要的社群，如隱蔽家庭、獨居長者等，向他們介紹社會資源及支援服務，並送上關懷。
Description
Remarks:
- Volunteers are required to attend a briefing session at 6:30 - 7:30pm on 13 Apr 2023 (Thu) in HKUST.
- The event involves outdoor activities, participants suffering from any illness that renders them unfit for the activities should not apply for the event.
- [CORE1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of CORE1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. You need to attend the event in full to get 4 hours.
- Upon completion of the service, the actual direct service hours will be subject to the confirmation of the partner association.
