Children from ethnic minority communities in Hong Kong may have difficulties while learning in local schools due to language barriers and lack of parents' support, which affect their development a lot. During the 5th wave of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, the kids were having less help in their learning. In this service, volunteers were recruited to assist with 6 local/ethnic minority kids' homework and revision weekly. With multiple sessions, they were able to follow children's learning progress and spent time chatting together. Volunteers learned about the struggle of the kids doing homework written in Chinese.
