Exploring Social Innovation (ESI)
Organizer: VIA, U.S.A.
The Exploring Social Innovation (ESI) Program brings together 20 - 25 university students and young professionals from across Asia in the summer to experience and exchange perspectives on social issues and innovation, to learn and share their perspectives on pressing global challenges, and to engage in team projects with local partners in Asia and the Bay Area in the United States. In this 2-week program participants discover new possibilities for their future, learn innovative ways to make the world a better place, and meet a diverse and passionate group of changemakers from across Asia. They will experience hands-on workshops, visits to innovative companies and exchange ideas with local leaders and global friends.
ESI is another immersive program based on the Exchange for Social Entrepreneurs & Leaders (XSEL) program under Volunteers in Asia (VIA), an independent organization dedicated to increasing understanding between the United States and Asia through various services and programs promoting cross-cultural education.
