Small Electronic Appliance Maintenance Workshop

In partnership with Household Electronics Reborn (HER) and sponsored by the Zonta Club of Victoria Hong Kong, a hands-on small electronic appliance repair workshop was organized for 19 HKUST students and staff members.

The workshop began with an introduction to basic electrical concepts and the core components of household appliances. In the second session, participants split into small groups to work closely with experienced HER volunteers, gaining practical, hands-on experience repairing various small appliances.

Through this interactive workshop, participants developed an interest in maintenance and were inspired to promote environmental protection and sustainability by giving old or malfunctioning electronic appliances a second life.
