Spreading Love to City Cleaners 清潔工送暖探訪大行動

Street and toilet cleaners play a vital yet often overlooked role in keeping Hong Kong clean, with over 13,300 frontline workers maintaining public spaces every day. To show appreciation for their hard work, a group of HKUST volunteers visited Jordan to connect with cleaners in the district.

During the visit, students distributed care packages and spent time listening to the cleaners' stories about their long hours, demanding work, and daily challenges. This experience left a lasting impression, fostering deeper empathy and motivating the students to advocate for greater recognition and support for frontline workers.
