Bunny Rescue Revamp 兔兔關愛行動
As part of an ongoing collaboration with Hong Kong Bunny Rescue (HKBR), a new group of HKUST students visited the organization's shelter in Tsuen Wan to learn about small animal care. The visit offered students a meaningful service experience alongside valuable insights into the responsibilities and challenges of animal rescue and rehabilitation.
During the visit, volunteers assisted with daily shelter operations, such as cleaning cages and maintaining a hygienic environment for the bunnies. Beyond these practical tasks, students interacted closely with the rabbits, many of whom had experienced neglect or abandonment. HKBR staff shared the stories behind their rescue missions, prompting students to reflect on compassion, commitment, and the importance of public education regarding responsible pet ownership. The experience left a lasting impression on the HKUST volunteers, deepening their appreciation for the dedication of animal welfare advocates.
