Volunteers guiding children in learning about Pitch-Pot

Four students from HKUST volunteered to support the Joyful Sports Day event organized by Haven of Hope Bradbury King Lam Community Health Development Centre. Collaborating with local community volunteers and students from other universities, they organized a carnival for the residents in the vicinity of Tseung Kwan O.

Throughout the day-long event, these dedicated volunteers manned various stations, engaging children and families in interactive sessions on a range of new sports activities, including Pitch-pot, lightsaber, Mölkky, and Cornhole. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to participate in creative pursuits like tie-dye and crafting beaded bracelets. The families and children relished a delightful experience exploring new sports and engaging in diverse leisure activities which promote general wellbeing.
