In response to the challenges faced by Secondary 3 students at HKTA The Yuen Yuen Institute No.3 Secondary School in selecting their elective subjects, HKUST volunteers collaborated on the 'Elective Navigator' initiative. This program was organized by a group of Connect ACE student ambassadors, drawing from their own experiences of navigating elective choices.

Fifteen HKUST volunteers delivered four interactive workshop sessions for 43 Secondary 3 students. Throughout the workshops, they introduced various elective subjects through engaging taster activities, helping students understand how these electives relate to university subjects. By sharing their personal experiences and effective study strategies, volunteers provided essential guidance and empowered young learners to make informed choices about their academic futures.

The positive impact of this service was significant: students gained clarity on their options and felt more confident in planning their career paths, ultimately unlocking their full potential in the educational journey ahead.
