HKUST students participated in a water rocket workshop co-organized by the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society Family Resource Centre and HKUST Connect. The goal was to strengthen family bonds through hands-on STEM activities. By building and launching water rockets together, families enjoyed quality time, enhanced communication, and created lasting memories in a fun and educational environment.

During the workshop, student volunteers actively assisted families in assembling their rockets, offering guidance and encouragement throughout the process. Participants also had the opportunity to explore the HKUST campus, giving children and parents a glimpse into university life. Additionally, the children were introduced to basic STEM concepts such as pressure, force, and aerodynamics through the rocket-building activity, which sparked their curiosity and encouraged a deeper interest in science and technology.
