A group of 12 volunteers from HKUST visited the cat shelter operated by the NGO, Hong Kong Saving Cat and Dog Association (HKSCDA). Their goal was to offer care and attention to the rescued animals housed at the facility. During their time at the shelter, the volunteers undertook various activities to help maintain a clean and safe environment for the cats. This included cleaning out the cages, distributing fresh water, and playing with and interacting directly with the cats.
This volunteer engagement gave the HKUST participants first-hand insight into the crucial work carried out by the Hong Kong Saving Cat and Dog Association in rescuing and caring for abandoned and stray cats.
