Elders Tour @HKUST 科大老友閒遊

The pandemic has had a significant impact on the lifestyles of the elderly, greatly limiting their opportunities for social interaction with others. To show care and support, volunteers from the Next Changemaker Program organized a campus tour with the goal of fostering community connections between the elderly and young people.
The volunteers facilitated the campus tour, guiding the elderly to walk around campus. They also did fun activities with the elderly, such as doing memory and reaction exercises through playing games. Through this campus tour, the elderly were able to learn more about our HKUST community and connect with the younger generations. Our volunteers also learned about the importance of building community connections with different social groups of our society.
