The event was a thought-provoking talk co-organized by HKUST Connect and Gay Games Hong Kong (GGHK). It focused on the unique challenges encountered by individuals belonging to the ethnic minority and LGBT+ communities in Hong Kong. Three college students, Alexandra Anselmo Sotto, Moira Daphne Gonzales Toledo, and Debin Limbu, shared their personal experiences and obstacles they faced along their journey of self-acceptance. As members of both minority groups, they shed light on the conflicts they grapple with between religion, traditional values, and their queer identities.

The talk provided an eye-opening experience for attendees, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals who belong to minorities within minorities within the Hong Kong context.
