Childcare Storytellers 童我講故事 (Oct 2022)

Six HKUST volunteers participated in a service initiative in collaboration with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Jockey Club Ping Shek Youth S.P.O.T. During their visit, the volunteers engaged with the children through interactive storytelling sessions, using creative methods to enhance their English language skills and foster positive attitudes and behaviors. The children eagerly participated in the activities and thoroughly enjoyed the stories and activities.

This service experience provided the volunteers with valuable insights into working with children and highlighted the importance of storytelling in child development. They also developed a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the youth in the community, recognizing the positive impact that community service can have on their growth and development.
