Sailing & Sharing 非同「帆」「享」

Hong Kong Yacht & Start-Up Association is a non-profit-making organization in Hong Kong that aims to empower youth and transform ex-offenders. They offer a training platform on Manggongzhu yacht, where adolescent youth can identify their interests and business opportunities, develop a healthy character, and be inspired to be an entrepreneur.

To encourage students to enjoy sailing and raise awareness for rehabilitated offenders, we organized a half-day sailing event for HKUST students. During the event, students learned about Manggongzhu yacht’s unique projects, listened to life stories from rehabilitated crews, and experienced sailing in Sai Kung waters. They were also encouraged to contribute to the organization by joining the summer Student Civic Fellowship program.
