Be part of the solutions!

The talk is part of the Changemaker Gear Up Training Series (GUTS) which aims to inspire students to search for their fit and introduce ways to solve problems more effectively.
It began with Mr. Martin Tan introducing the idea of social identity and three ways of collaboration which suggested how our actions are driven by our beliefs and explained why we should compromise for the good of all. Then, he introduced the hedgehog concept by Jim Collins that helps students to find their fit by considering the following three factors: their strengths, the things that they are passionate about, and the things that can bring them revenue. During the talk, he suggested that the best way to solve social problems effectively is to get into the community and have need-based conversations with the needy. He believed it is crucial for changemakers to know how to navigate the resources that they have correctly in order to make positive changes to the community.
At the end of the talk, most students reflected that they enjoyed the sharing from Martin and would like to have further discussion on the topic.
