Crossroads Foundation is a HK-based NGO that links commercial and individual donors to those in need both in Hong Kong and around the world. Through providing logistic support, sorting different donation materials, and helping with repair and maintenance work, volunteers make a difference to the lives of people living in vulnerable circumstances.

The simulation part was inspiring and thought-provoking. I never had the opportunity to experience what people living under poverty do except on TV until today. The presenter enlightened us and was able to involve everyone. I got hands-on and full-person experience today. It was surely an unforgettable experience for me.

It has been one of the most emotional and inspiring events of my life. Coming from a country that has high poverty, I actually believed I had a pretty good understanding of poverty. However, the difficulties that I have imagined and thought of turned to be much flowery compared to the simulation. I am thankful for giving me the opportunity of experiencing the poverty simulation. Also, the inspiring conversation with the trainer David and his sharing of emotional moments have left a deep impression on me.
