UN Sustainable Development Goals

It is the sixth year that HKUST students have collaborated with Hong Kong Family Welfare Society to hold financial education workshops for secondary school students. The objective is to promote the concept of financial management in daily life through experiential learning and encourage secondary students to reflect on their attitudes and values of using money.
Before the service, volunteers attended a training workshop to acquire the knowledge of financial management and techniques of working with children. Through the experiential game booths and volunteer facilitation, teenagers learn in practical ways, and develop a healthy attitude towards money. They have learnt about the huge benefits of saving, as well as the risk of borrowing.
