Hong Kong Dog Rescue launched an annual fund-raising event, "Peak to Fong 2017" (救狗之家狗狗同樂籌款日2017 義工服務) for raising money for 600 dogs, including veterinary care, purchasing of dog food, beds and kennel supplies, and upkeep of two Homing Centres at Tai Po and Ap Lei Chau. HKUST volunteers were recruited o assistant in road guiding, water distribution and crowd control.
