Closing ceremony of Speak as One

Artiste Training Alumni Association Jockey Club Tseung Kwan O Youth Square organised a 3-phase "Speak As One" Ethnic Minority Community Project in 2017/18 for the ethnic minority children to understand more about the local community and to learn about themselves.

HKUST Connect recruited volunteers in each phase to assist and help facilitate the ethnic minorities in the activities, including a sign language class, a handicraft workshop, a Chinese New Year Fun Fair, and a visit to Kowloon Mosque. They also joined hands to serve the hearing impaired people. As a result of the interaction with and sharing from our volunteers, the ethnic minorities became more adapted into the local community.
