HKUST volunteers assisted in preparing nutritious hot meals by using edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry and packing them in meal boxes. The meal boxes were then redistributed to the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong.

第1次參與「惜食天使」義工活動覺得十分有意義:) 這次的義工服務與我之前參與過的有所不同。這次的義工服務不會與服務對象見面，但透過準備食材，pack飯盒助別人，對我來說是特別的體驗。希望將來也能參加類似的服務，幫助社區減少食浪費!
Packing lunch boxes and helping out with food preparation was a good experience in understanding how an NGO works to reduce the food waste problem. I realized that a small effort can make a big difference and that everyone can take part in alleviating some of the social problems in HK! :)
