"Paws" for Love 「爪」尋愛
Two groups of animal-loving volunteers spent an afternoon in Yuen Long attending to the basic needs of abandoned animals under SAA's care. It was a memorable experience as they helped to clean out cages, groom the animals, and play with them. Volunteers learned about the severity of the animal abandonment problem in Hong Kong and were thankful that they could contribute to the well-being of animals at the shelter.

Joining "Paws" for love is a good opportunity to know more about the abandoned animals in our society. There are lots of abandoned dogs and cats, they are friendly and harmless - I don't understand why people abandon them :( Although many people volunteer, it's not enough, we should always take good care of our pets for their entire life, and adopt instead of buying! If you have time, you should definitely visit SAA or other organizations for animals! Adopt and not abandon!

Today is the second time that I come to this place, and activity – “Paws” for love – to brush fur for these dogs. The dog that I served today is called Wren. Itwas very shy at first but I am very glad that after an hour of contact, I successfully built a connection with it. I think those dogs abandoned in SAA, the organization that cares for them, needed even more caring from us. They were abandoned and they need more time to be with humans again. I hope more of us can begin to act and care for those dogs. It is rewarding and satisfactory!
