Project Home Works is a program launched by Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong targeted to help low income families, the elderly and the physically-disabled by providing house repairing services. The project strives to bring better homes, build community, and convey hope to society. The volunteers visited families in Choi Hung to fix peeling ceilings and provide house cleaning services. They chatted with the families to understand more about their situation and bring warmth to the families.

Description

Participating in the voluntary service Project Home Works is a remarkable experience. Having to reflect the value of our service to the clients, I came to appreciate their needs and difficulties in maintaining home safety. More youngsters should be involved in similar programs.

Among all kinds of service, I found Project Home Works the most meaningful. This is not a one-off event but our work for the elderly is long-lasting. I really enjoyed the experience.
