Food Share We Care @ Western District 愛‧共饗在城西食物分享計劃

An estimated 1 tonne of imperfect vegetables from Western Wholesale Food Market are disposed at the landfill daily. To help reduce food waste at source, the local green group Ever Green Association has expanded their “Food Share We Care” (「愛‧共饗」) campaign which started in 2013 to the Western Wholesale Food Market in 2016. The campaign aims at collecting unsold fresh vegetables from the food market and re-distributing them to the needy groups. Volunteers supported and gave a helping hand in saving surplus food from landfill!
