Co-organized by the Hong Kong Special Olympics (HKSO) and Hong Kong Sports Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability (HKSAPID), the 40th HKSO Swimming Competition (第40屆香港特殊奧運會游泳比賽) was held in July 2016. HKUST students served in different roles, such as escorting participants and guests and providing administrative support.
