Smartphones have become a vital part of our everyday lives. Many elders are eager to catch up with new technology but do not know how. Volunteers taught a group of seniors to use smartphones and introduced some useful apps to them. This activity encouraged the elders to communicate with the young and therefore enhanced cross-generational communication.

很高興能夠藉今次機會令更多老友記更懂得使用智能電話，協助他們與家人和外界溝通。同時亦令我反思對自己家人相處時的不足，有時候教自己家人用電話都比較不耐煩，可是他們只單純想和後輩多聯絡，一個錄音都令他們很開心。

作為活動負責人之一，看著老友記可以學會用智能手機，那一份喜悅真是難以形容。老友記與科大同學相處融洽，享受我們設計的活動中，我們真的很滿足。這個活動亦啟發了我要多與長輩溝通，嘗試主動問候他們。可能一、兩句簡單說話對我們來說並不是一回事，但對他們來說卻是一份關心、一份愛意。
