Gate Painting @Cho Yiu Estate 祖堯安居樂油遊
Volunteers visited and provided support to the singleton or two-person elderly households in the Cho Yiu Estate. They got a chance to chat with the elders, helped them reconnect to people and the community, and refurbished their home gates.
Student Sharing
It’s a great experience to be able to help the elderly to paint their home’s gate and can spend some time to talk to them. It’s good to know that although the lady that I visited today is already 70 years old and living alone, she is still very healthy and is enjoying her life very much. I will definitely visit my grandma more frequently, as she is also living alone, and hope she can live as happy as the lady I met today.
